Legoland for 105cm~

At 107cm…the boy can take practically all the rides already!

So this time we managed to take all the rides!

All the dry ones that is~

So…it's time to introduce roller coasters to the kid right? Of course~

& now we have oee's first roller coaster ride photo…
taken on his 1st real roller coaster ride…

But looks like he really does not like roller coasters very much…lol~

The boy would prefer lego~

Only managed to watch just a few shows again this time…oh well~

Anyway…one year later…we're back at the same hotel~

Back at the same swimming pool at the same hotel~

With a few familiar & a few new food options around the hotel now~

Nice…every trip's a new experience!

Where It's All Lego~

Didn't think we'd be back here ever but yeah we're back…8 years & a kid later…

At Legoland~

Where it's all lego~

Watched shows…

Went on rides…

& now we have oee's first theme park ride photo…
taken on his 1st theme park ride…
at his 1st theme park…

Lunch was good too~

Had taken a train into JB…

& settled into our hotel the day before~

With all of our meals either ordered in…

Or at some restaurant nearby…

& now we know this hotel has actually got a nice pool!
(Had never even paid attention to it all the years before lol)~

Ended the trip with quite a bit of a rush back…but well at least mll made it for his meeting at 2pm after all (when he's supposed to be on leave for the day anyway…)

Food For Anni-Time~

But if possible…not on a weekend again in the future?
We had a repeat of the 2.5 hour queue at the customs!

Back to a room where everything about it is extremely familiar to us by now~

Ohh I like how the view from our window allows us to see this side of the road…

…where dinner is~

Dinner is the main event as usual…it's truly what I look forward to over here…

Made a new discovery on this 4th visit: the most delicious fresh fried clams ever!
How did we miss this all past 3 times (over the past 3 years) that we were here?!

It's awesome! I'd recommend it! I'm even already looking to return again for this!

DVDs For CNY Eve~

Just two movies for 2019 CNY's eve:

[Robin Hood]~

[Русалка. Озеро мертвых] a.k.a.
[Mermaid: Lake Of The Dead]~

Both movies were interesting~
& that was 4 Feb 2019 for us~

Planting Is Happening~

Signed up for our first camp in…a decade?

It's a re-visit to Dec 2015 & a recalling of the journey He has taken me on since~
It's amazing how…the unimaginable hope of this has actually become a reality…

… … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … …

By the way…there were two gyms located within the hotel premises…

Which turned into two new Silver gym badges for me after our camp!

3 Cheers For 3 Years~

The 2.5 hours' queue at the Malaysia customs was one to test our patience~

But well this weekend has seen a raise in our yearly stay-cation streak to 3~

At the same hotel for the 3rd time~

This time with an extra purpose~

Nailed a Silver gym badge!
Three cheers for three years!

CNY On A Couch~

We sure caught up on movies this Chinese New Year…
On DVDs & via Singapore TV broadcast…while in JB…

Couch potatoes cultivation Day 1 - on the eve of CNY (15 Feb 2018):

[新兵正传 IV] a.k.a. [Ah Boys to Men 4]~

As a female…I'd say films like that are really interesting & informative…

[Ant-Man]~

Ohh wow the story of Ant-Man's way more exciting than I had expected~

[解救吾先生]~ a.k.a. [Saving Mr. Wu]~

Apparently this film was based on a true abduction case where one of the cast members was the actual victim in the kidnapping case…rescued after 23 hours in captivity…just before his execution…in Beijing in 2004~ & three of the abductors were sentenced to death a year later~

Couch potatoes cultivation Day 2 - on the 1st day of CNY (16 Feb 2018):

[King Arthur: Legend of the Sword]~

Had felt really sad for the power-crazed insecure antagonist in this one…

[택시운전사] a.k.a. [Taeksi Unjeonsa]
a.k.a. [A Taxi Driver]~

Apparently this film was also based on a true event…the Gwangju Uprising in South Korea that had happened in 1980~ & a video made by the real German journalist who had filmed and reported on the Gwangju massacre (Jürgen Hinzpeter) was also incorporated into the film in its credits~

I'd highly recommend this~

Welcome To The Jungle~

A full day spent in City Square @ JB almost cannot be spent without a movie…
At least in my opinion? So anyway…this was the movie for the day yesterday:

[Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle]~

For another girls' day out!
& it's hilarious! Really cool & entertaining~

Didn't have to wait too long at the customs this time…which was a great plus!

Still wasn't enough time for curry fish head to add to KTV & a movie though…

I Choose You!

Was greeted by a bowl of awesomeness after a 1.5-hour queue at JB customs plus another 20-minute queue at this stall when we finally got there this afternoon…

It's the famous & popular curry fish head in JB that I've heard so much about!
Finally…long after hearing of its existence…I've got a friend to take me there!

& then the standard fare of a typical trip to JB - a movie…followed by dinner~

[Pokémon the Movie: I Choose You!]

Okay it's the 20th Pokémon movie…but it's one that's completely suitable for anyone who has never watched any of the ones before this…like both me & my friend~ LOL!

Introducing Ho-Oh!

The Second Anniversary~

So after 8 days…we led ourselves through the customs & into Johor Bahru again~

& after a massage…checked into a hotel - the same one that we did a year ago…

& secured certain reasonably-priced quality food that which I'm in love with & were completely satisfying to my taste buds as part of my meals over the next 24 hours~

Well…it's nice to have a trip well-planned…& to be well-fed & well-taken care of!

Uniting Lego & Star Wars~

Even as neither a fan of Lego…nor a fan of Star Wars…
The trip to LEGOLAND @ Malaysia was worth going~

LEGOLAND @ Johor Bahru, Malaysia~

May 2016 is the Star Wars-themed month in LEGOLAND Malaysia~

But it by no means mean that only fans of Star Wars (or fans of Lego) will be able to appreciate works of art related to Star Wars formed with the building blocks of Lego~

Honestly…there are impressive works that can be admired & appreciated by anyone~

The random Lego works around the park are interesting & well-made too~

Look…I really love this!

The other large-scale exhibits are interesting & pretty remarkable as well…
& it's nice to see a mini version of Singapore built completely out of Lego!

Since we were late to arrive at the park…we had totally missed the Star Wars Parade…which was supposed to be a highlight for the 7-8 May 2016 weekend?

But I guess it's fine…haha it's really a good thing that I'm not a Star Wars fan~

It's wonderful enough that we didn't miss the Ninjago live show because it's really an extraordinary "puppet show" that's really creatively original & stylishly well-done!

& while it's unfortunate that kids' rides do not interest us at all…at least there is one ride in the park that can still be considered (after having lowered all expectations by 99%) decently fun enough even for adults to go on:

Project X @ LEGOLAND Malaysia~

Ahh this is sad…seriously…I need some real rides in my life…

… … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … …

LEGOLAND aside…the most amazing highlight of our trip is probably the claypot gong bao frogs' legs meal which I had THRICE within 24 hours since our arrival at our hotel on the midnight of 7 May 2016 because it's located just right behind our hotel & it's awesome!

The best gong bao frogs' legs I've ever had!

& the grilled chicken wings are great too!

Yay to a great weekend staycation!
