Paths - People - Planes~

Our mid-morning "walk" towards Marina Barrage under the ridiculously hot sun on Saturday had unexpectedly turned out to be a walk towards a sea of people & a sky of planes…with us eventually failing to reach the destination as planned after all…

While thinking about how quiet it is along the way…with little or practically no human traffic to speak of…we suddenly found ourselves staring at what clearly looked like crowds of people…in front…in the distance…when nearing the Marina Barrage…

& at an even further distance…Marina Barrage itself was obviously filled with people!

When we squinted hard enough…

& there were airplanes & helicopters flying in formation in certain sequences above…

So apparently there was an event going on…

…which we looked up on Google that afternoon later~

"The RSAF's Aerial Display at RSAF50@Marina Barrage: The Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) will be conducting an aerial display at the Marina Barrage as part the RSAF50 celebrations to thank Singaporeans for their strong support through the years. Members of the public are encouraged to join in the celebrations at the RSAF@Marina Barrage dressed in blue, representing the skies that the RSAF protects."

Ohh hey…neither of us wore blue on that day…but not that it mattered anyway since we watched only a part of the aerial display at such a far distance away & then before the display ended…we had already turned around & headed back~ LOL~

So yeah…mll's plan for us to recce the route (for a later occasion) turned out to be a timely one…because with this event & the crowds gathered near Marina Barrage…we got to watch a National aerial display live which is really just so rare for me & also ended up walking a shorter overall distance than planned! Nice going RSAF!

I mean come on…I was already sun-burnt! & exhausted…& melting in the heat…

However…that also meant we had to miss out on two-thirds of the Eevee event…
(In order to rest & fill our empty stomachs in the air-conditioned mall & recuperate!)

& then we missed out on two-thirds of the Eevee event Day Two on Sunday also…
Because my leg/thigh muscles hurt & I was averse to walking under the sun again!
(But it's like…unbelievable we still did for an hour…for the sake of shiny Eevees…)

Anyway…I've exercised~ I've definitely exercised! I've exercised a lot…& enough!
