Driving To The Moon~

Fancy a drive to the moon?

Like driving a bus…to the moon…

At The Bus Collective~

It's a staycation!

In a bus!

Complete with a bedroom in it…

With cartoons on TV included…

& delicious chilli also included for hotel breakfast~

Changi Hawker Centre's right outside too really~

There's a playground just a few steps out as well~

& it'll take just some walking to get to another one…

One with sand…that is~

& the beach is also just right around~

Going all the way to Changi for this…with the countless plane sightings to add…it's almost as close as like…going all the way into a foreign land for a holiday already…

If only I could just have gotten away without souvenirs from sandflies my nemesis!

Bird Paradise~

How is this happening for the 4th consecutive year I have no idea…

…but yeah we're back at the Bird Park for the 4th year in the row…

Now called Bird Paradise~

With waterfalls!

& with both shows now sheltered~

Can see more birds up close now in this new park~

Here's one actually making a nest~

& the penguins feel closer to us now it seems~

Lunch was good too~

Not only is it our 4th consecutive year visiting the Bird Park…it's our 4th consecutive year visiting the Bird Park on a rainy day…

…yet with minimal disruptions to our tour around the park! & without much of the sun!

Awesome…no wonder we leave all the planning of everything…to Him…all the time~

The First Water Playground~

First time at a water playground~

& he just couldn't take his eyes off the waterfall the whole time…

New Year Birds~

Yeah I almost can't believe it either…but we're back for a 3rd time in the 3rd year…
& this time…is truly the final time…before the birds move into their new Paradise…

At the Jurong Bird Park~

Saw the Birds @ Play in operation for the first (& last) time~

& we actually had a proper lunch here for the first (& last) time too~

The kid did see some birds…we think~

Or maybe just the owl in particular - the only bird of interest~

By the way an iguana graced a show with its surprise guest appearance…nice~

Well the kid was clearly more interested in the non-bird non-living things at the park…

…like the vending machine…

…like the empty telephone booth…

…& like the tram…yes the tram of course~

& we sure took a final look at the Hawk Arena~

Goodbye for good now…Jurong Bird Park~

What Did You See At The Zoo?

Inspired by a book…which I've been requested to read almost daily for weeks now…

[What Did You See At The Zoo?]

Anyway…since it did seem to be a time suitable for us…we decided to make a trip down yesterday…& guess we'll consider it an early celebration for Children's Day?

Ohh Mandai has got a new poster at its entrance now~

At least this time the kid's awake for all 3 shows~

So what did he see at the zoo?

Lions~

Yes lions…in clear view~

& watched the lion roar!

& tigers too…white tigers to be specific…

By the way…the quality of the food at the Ah Meng Restaurant in the park itself was not cheap of course but hey at least the food actually tasted better than expected…

So what did we eat at the zoo?

& here's the other thing…the toddler actually showed more interest in the tram than any animal…looking at just about EVERY TRAM that he could spot within his sight…

…until it gets completely out of his sight!

Well of course we took it for a few rounds around the park too~ LOL~

Onsen In Jurong~

Heard that there's a new onsen that has opened in Jurong some months ago…

& had the opportunity to visit it today…& to personally try out their public bath…

At Joya Onsen~

I've never actually been to one in Japan…but this local one's pretty good for me…

At least for the actual day/time that we had managed to finally meet up & do this~

Four Points~

By Sheraton hotel…& we had just about 30 hours a stay over the weekend…

Checked into the hotel at noon~

Checking out the hotel room~

Pool-time under the noon sun~

Food & rest & TV in the room…
(yeah so about the cot…since he still fits in it…in he goes…)

A walk around outside at night full of lights:
saw a lighted bridge…a lighted boat…& lighted flowers in the sky!

Up so early in the morning before the sun is even up~

Yet almost too late in the morning for the buffet breakfast~

Nice that it's a breakfast with a view~

Late afternoon check-out with dinner afterwards…
(to finally use up our dinner credits!)

I'm not a fan of hotel room-stays…but the kid took his 3-hour naps well both days!

Well…as first-time guests at this hotel…guess we now have a gauge of how many points we would give to this hotel…since it pretty much lives up to its name~ LOL~
