Two Decades Of Thoughts~

With My First Materialized Thought on 10 December 2005…
It's official - thinklingstar.blogspot.com truly turns 20 today!

This space has managed to thrive for two entire decades…
& now…it is holding two decades-long's worth of thoughts…

It has bore witness to so…so much over the past 20 years…
Like how much more is it going to witness over the next 20?

In any case…at 20 now…not sure how adulthood will go…
Or should I say…it's already part of the ageing population!

Ticking Ticking~

This is just the first month back to the original school routine…

& all these appointments in our calendar are already piling up…

With each ranking high in urgency…in importance…in priority…

Fever To Flight~

It's the fever of excitement again…literally…the FEVER…

Okay I suppose it's the fever of over-excitedness again?

This time…the fever started just 20hrs before our flight…

So since 5am it's been here…

& now at 5pm it's still here…

Like are we going to make it?

Well…we'll find that out later~

A For Assessments~

We've finally gotten off the bullet train of assessments…after a month of it…

Next…we'll be getting on the next train to the next station…as per the plan…

So yes…it's the kid's 3rd day of fever…& my Nth day of flu (featuring all symptoms symptom by symptom)…& we're barely 3 days away to our long flight & journey out…

Christmas Feast 2023~

Time for our annual Christmas gathering…

Might seem a little early but it's no doubt the perfect date set for all of us…

After exactly a year…the swelling's disappeared~

No longer observable…no longer detectable…

To be confirmed with the next round of X-ray…likely also the last for this~

Fever Five~

First it was the boy…
…with five days of high fever from Saturday night to Thursday…

Then it was his mother…
…with five days of high fever from Saturday night to Thursday…

…complete with chills…sore throat…blocked nose…cough…appetite loss…muscle aches…lethargy…with no energy to even be in a bad mood or in any mood for anything at all…& with effects lasting so long - not even sure it'll be for how long…

Seriously…what virus is this?!

Oh…the Adenovirus…right…I'll make it a point to remember this…

After Three Cycles~

Well I'll be self-deluded…& treat it as just having completed the second instead…

But count the Pokemon? haha I like Eevee & Eevee likes me!
(Won both rounds of this new Eevee evolution card game lol~)

& yes I officially have a candle-blower - the toddler has acquired the ability now~

The Thousandth-Day Pose~

Marking the thousandth day of life…

Happy Kindness Day~

With only 3650 days till the child turns 10 to begin with…there's not a day to waste~

Investing in the parent-child relationship…being genuinely available both physically & emotionally…connecting & staying connected each new day…is rewarding in itself~

& for having not wasted a single day thus far…that's already the best yield there is~

The first 1000 days are over…with no regret…no guilt…no shame…only gratitude~

Daddy Not At Home~

After being grounded to flightlessness for 2.5 years…the time has come after all:

It's daddy's first business trip since the kid was born…& a week-long one at that!

But okay mummy survived the week…a week without daddy…for the first time…

& has now finally learnt to operate the washing machine & order food on an app!

With The Toddler-Age Virus~

The virus & oee have finally croseed paths after 2 years & 7.5 months since birth…

…yup it's pretty faint a line but certainly a line…

Guess it's finally oee's turn too to come face to face…to come into direct physical contact with this unwelcomed-by-the-whole-world peer of his - they had both been born legally-existent into this world practically around the same time after all…

Okay now…the thing is…I'm totally open to the "let's just all get it together" idea…
