Australia 2024~

All ready on the day which happened to be the most important day to us in May…

It's 6 to go:

To Melbourne first~

To see the koala bears…& feed the kangaroos & wallabies~

To see the penguins too…cute little penguins…in the thousands…in the open…from afar…coming up from the waters at the beach…& even up close under little lamps…in the rain…in the dark…

& well the penguins we did not miss…

(But we just completely missed the Aurora Australis that was apparently clearly visible right on Phillip Island in Melbourne the following night…by ONE night!)

To ride on an old steam train…

Puffing Billy~
Because 4-year olds can sit on the sills already!

& to go on a road trip in a car~

& then to Uluru next~

We had supposedly 4 flights in total but we were on 5 in the end~
Well…as a visual illustration…check out our flight path for the 2nd!
(& an 9-hour delay amounted in total after…before our 3rd flight~)

Like what to do…Uluru is too ulu…

But it sure is beautiful~

Also known as Ayers Rock…

& listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site~

With one of the best sunrises in the world~
Truly sights worth a million dollars!

Of course we've got to see the iconic rock as well~

& even taking a last look on the plane out is rewarding~

Bringing his son to visit a desert (a beautiful one no less)…& watching at least a sunrise & a sunset at the beautiful desert…believe it or not that's actually daddy's main goal for the whole trip…which he has certainly successfully achieved! LOL yay!

Spent a day in Canberra~

& the last few days of our trip in Sydney~

With more maple leaves to play with~

& he got to watch a few cartoons new to him~

Of course we had to watch the fireworks at Darling Harbour~

While Melbourne…Ayers Rock (Uluru) & Canberra were new to us all…
It's almost unbelievable how mll & I were back in Sydney for the 3rd time…
But yeah…even if it's just for the food & the fireworks…it's worth it~

Finally ready to leave Australia after 11 days~

Averaging 15K steps taken each day for 10 consecutive days…

I have walked 4 years' worth of steps as far as I'm concerned~

& the 4-year old has done really well…covering the same distance as everyone…which should obviously have taken him more than double the steps of an adult?

& that is not even counting the additional distance he covered separately on his own…with all the jumping around…climbing around…plus all the bird-chasing…

… … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … …

& yes we've truly had a great family vacation! Thank God!

We've made it! Achievement unlocked! We've leveled up!

Song of the Day: Home Among The Gum Trees - John Williams
```Give me a home among the gumtrees…
```With lots of plum trees…
```A sheep or two…a k-kangaroo…
```A clothesline out the back…
```Verandah out the front…
```And an old rocking chair```
